Education ServicesStart down the path to success with us. Achieve your educational dreams.
Here at the Social Development Commission (SDC), we believe there are many ways to define success. We help you find the path that’s right for you. SDC’s Education Services helps adults of all ages earn their General Education Diploma (GED) or High School Equivalency Diploma (HSED).
We prepare individuals with the knowledge and skills to earn their diploma. Participants produce a collection of work that shows an understanding of each subject.
As a Community Action Agency and commission on poverty, we remove barriers that prevent access to education. We address inequalities in education, particularly along socioeconomic lines. According to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI), the high school graduation rate in Milwaukee was last reported at 69.1%. Statistics show economically disadvantaged students are less likely to graduate in four years at 66.3% compared to their more well off peers at 79.4%.
We’re here because we know it’s not always easy. But it’s never too late!
