At the Social Development Commission (SDC), we have one goal – to empower people with the resources to move beyond poverty. Poverty isn’t a life sentence.

With more than 50 years of service in Milwaukee County, we are grateful to have helped many people with our diverse portfolio of services.

COVID-19 Testing and Vaccination Sites

The below sites in Milwaukee County offer vaccinations daily. All vaccinations are completely free with no proof of insurance required and no appointment needed!

The City of Milwaukee Health Department also offers free COVID-19 PCR testing at the below sites for anyone 12 months and older, regardless of symptoms. PCR test results are expected within 24-48 business hours. Call 414-286-6800 for assistance.

Milwaukee County Energy Assistance Program provides qualified Milwaukee County residents with a one-time, annual payment toward heating and electric bills. The funding pays a portion of energy costs determined by household size, income and energy costs.
