I’ve worked at SDC for 1 year and 8 months.
What do you do at SDC?
I am an Employment Specialist at SDC. I am responsible for matching clients to a specific job that suits their training or talents.
What motivates you? Why do you do this work?
What motivates me is being able to meaningfully engage with clients to help change and better their situation.
Describe a time when you felt like your work at SDC made a difference in someone’s life.
This happened to me recently when a student shared how I was the big sister who motivated her to achieve her goals to graduate the ChefStart Program. Because I believed in her, she was able to believe in herself.
Tell us something people don’t know about you.
I am bi-racial and I come from a blended family. I also care for my disabled Aunt whom is wheelchair bound.
