The Social Development Commission (SDC) is pleased to spotlight the work of SDC’s Lead Safe Homes program.
Recently, SDC staff gathered with the Wisconsin Department of Health Services Secretary Karen Timberlake and Lead Policy team, West Allis Mayor Dan Devine, Chorus Community Health Plans, and various stakeholders and community partners. The group discussed the work being done by the Lead-Safe Homes Program to prevent lead poisoning in Milwaukee County. We also visited an active lead abatement project in the neighborhood.
