The Social Development Commission (SDC) has served as the only Community Action Agency for Milwaukee County,
and the largest of the 18 members of the state's WISCAP organization. Nationwide, Community Action Agencies work
to improve the lives of low-income residents in their community. All (Community Action Programs) CAP agencies
belong to the National Community Action Partnership created in the 1960s to fight the War on Poverty.

Absolute Advantage Construction Job Training

Begin a career in a well-paying industry! Register now for SDC's Absolute Advantage construction job training course. You MUST ATTEND a mandatory Information Session. Sessions are being offered January 3 & 4, and classes being January 16. The course is only 9-weeks and you'll graduate with accredited national certification and prepared to enter the construction industry as a general laborer. The course has proven results with several graduates obtaining employment in a livable wage job prior to or shortly following graduation.

YouthBuild Construction Training & Education Courses

If you 18 - 24, are interested in the construction field, and you need your GED or HSED register now for YouthBuild! This FREE program offers construction job training, national certification for the field and OSHA, PLUS you can earn your GED or HSED at the same time. Enrollment in both job training and an education course is required. it's all FREE for students. Register today for a MANDATORY orientation. Orientations will be held from 1 - 3pm, Monday, December 18 - Thursday, December 21. Classes start in January 2018 .
