Are you interested in a career in the medical field? Register now for the Social Development Commission (SDC)’s Healthcare Discovery Workshop.

Discover the many opportunities healthcare has to offer from entry-level to advanced-level careers. Through SDC’s 5-day workshop, you will receive the job readiness training, education, career and industry exploration you need to get you on a path to earning family-sustaining wages. 

Participants may also receive sponsorship that covers the cost for industry specific training for roles that include CNA, Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy, Pharmacy Technician and more!

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be a resident of the City of Milwaukee
  • High school diploma or equivalency

*If you do not have a high school diploma or equivalency we can help! Check out SDC’s GED and HSED program and get on your pathway to earning your high school diploma. 

The Healthcare Discovery Workshop includes everything you need to be successful in landing a job position in healthcare. At the completion of the workshop, you will tour a healthcare facility and discover first-hand what it’s like to work in healthcare.
