Emergency Food PantryAre you short on food? SDC can help!
Food Pantry Overview
The Social Development Commission (SDC) offers a choice food pantry to assist individuals and families facing food shortages.
According to the U.S. Census, the poverty rate in Milwaukee reached over 25% in 2020. Additionally, the northwest side of Milwaukee is a food desert with few options for those who are hungry and fighting poverty. SDC’s Emergency Food Pantry brings much needed resources to the community.
In partnership with the Hunger Task Force, SDC provides a peace of mind to those in need. We also supply nutritional food options promoting healthier lifestyles while fighting hunger. The food pantry is available to people experiencing food emergencies and provides a three-day food supply according to family size.
