The Social Development Commission is hosting a FREE monthly Financial Empowerment Workshop to empower Milwaukee County residents with the resources to get on the path toward financial freedom. This workshop will take place every first Saturday of the month starting at 10am at various locations throughout Milwaukee County.

The Financial Empowerment Workshop on February 4th will focus on Understanding Credit Reports and Scores. Knowing what is on your credit report and understanding your credit score is important for your financial future. Your credit score is a three-digit number that lenders use to determine whether you can receive a loan for a home, car, credit card, or other lines of credit and the interest rate you will receive. Checking your credit report is also helpful in finding inaccurate and incomplete information. Get on the right path today by knowing your credit report and score.
