2022 Youth Empowerment Summit

Join us at the Social Development Commission (SDC) and Youth Advisory Board’s 2022 Youth Empowerment Summit happening on Friday, March 25th, 2022. Registration will begin at 8:00am and the Youth Empowerment Summit will end at 2:00pm.

The theme for this year’s Summit is Repairing the Cracks in our Community’s Foundation.

SDC’s 2022 Youth Empowerment Summit provides local youth the opportunity to have their voice heard. As we discuss the COVID-19 pandemic, students will learn how to address the disparities we have all seen and experienced in our communities. Students will have the opportunity to participate in two interactive workshops of their choosing, hear from keynote speakers, listen to spoken word poetry, enjoy a luncheon, and walk away with resources they can use to improve themselves and their community.

Parents are also invited to attend the 2022 Youth Empowerment Summit. SDC will be offering two parent workshops around how to have an active role in your child’s mental health. There are limited slots available.

Note: Youth attending the Summit a part from their school, must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Advanced in person registration has closed, but walk-in registration will be available at the Youth Empowerment Summit at the Hyatt Regency Milwaukee.
