2020 was a tough year.

We experienced the COVID-19 global pandemic, an economic crisis and heightened realities of racial and economic disparities. The theme for the 2021 Summit on Poverty examines evidence-based strategies and the latest tools for exposing and disrupting the experience of poverty. The Summit on Poverty will also address barriers that impact people in vulnerable communities.

In addition, the Summit on Poverty will highlight the challenges many service providers faced attempting to pivot and respond effectively to the most vulnerable members of community who are currently living the experience of poverty. Specifically, we will aim to highlight examples of how we collectively responded during this time of crisis.

Participants will be challenged to examine the national, regional and local systems at play and consider how these shape policies and our collective response. By drawing attention to the structural underpinnings of poverty, we believe a well-informed and intellectually honest discussion can take place and help lead to impactful change.

We hope to see you at the 2021 Summit on Poverty from October 19-21, 2021.
