The Social Development Commission (SDC) provides programs and services to provide pathways from poverty to success for low-income residents of Milwaukee County. Each year, the SDC serves thousands of individuals and families by providing resources to help move them out of poverty.
The Social Development Foundation plays an important role in making the programs that SDC offers a reality. Funding from the foundation assists SDC in being able to maintain and grow important programs for the low-income community. Their support of programs including high school equivalency diploma programs, the Senior Companion Program, Foster Grandparents, job training courses, résumé development and interviewing skills, free tax preparation services and financial education is vital.
Contributions from individuals, organizations, and foundations - both financial and in-kind, play a critical role in ensuring SDC is able to serve thousands of low-income members of our community. You can provide hope for people living in poverty who are actively seeking opportunities to improve their lives and those of their families.
