Hundreds of volunteers contribute many hours of dedicated service that make a real impact on the low-income community of Milwaukee County. Volunteers bring their energy, time and expertise to different SDC programs and events of. The efforts of these individuals, businesses and organizations restores hope and give support to thousands of people. Volunteers are able to engage in activities ranging from volunteering a few hours of your time to perform general administrative duties to assist programs or assisting with events.

Donations of goods and services can be extremely valuable and are vitally important to the clients, programs and services of SDC. In-kind donations from individuals and organizations are truly appreciated.
SDC welcomes a range of in-kind donations including school supplies, personal hygiene items, nonperishable snacks for youth programs, art supplies, socks, mittens, hat, scarves, gently used books and prizes to reward youth who accomplish their goals.
Tickets to community events for client families, motivational speakers on leadership and surmounting challenging circumstances, and consultative services are welcome.
Whether you make an individual contribution or coordinate a drive at your place of work, worship, or in your neighborhood, SDC will have a tremendous level of appreciation.
Grantees must be sure to document donations appropriately. The SD Foundation cannot establish or confirm the value of any donated non-cash good or service.
