Attention FoodShare Recipients:

Don't Lose Your Benefits!

If you an Able Bodied Adult Without Dependents (ABAWDs), between the ages of 18-49, you may be at risk of losing your FoodShare benefits. New eligibility rules went into effect April 1. If you do not qualify for an exemption, you must participate in the FoodShare Employment and Training (FSET) program. When you apply for or renew your FoodShare benefits you will have to meet a work requirement. if you do not meet the FSET work requirement for 3 months (consecutive or nonconsecutive) during a 36-month period, you may lose your FoodShare for the rest of the 36 months. Please call Milwaukee Enrollment Services at 888.947.6583, read and respond to any mailing/calls from ResCare (414.270-1800) or contact Hunger Task Force at 414.777.0483 immediately!

Don’t miss the Back to School Health Fair on Friday, August 7 from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM at North Division High School (1011 W. Center Street, Milwaukee). It’s a one-stop shop for all of your back-to-school health needs! School-age children can get school-required immunizations as well as lead tests, vision and dental screening, health care information and resources. Those who have an up-to-date shot record or who get shots and lead testing at the fair will be eligible for FREE backpacks and school supplies!
