Program Description
The Family Support Center’s Transitional Living Center Program (TLC) serves homeless families headed by women and men with substance abuse problems. The program addresses family alcohol and drug abuse in a comprehensive transitional living environment.
Eligibility Requirements
- Must be an adult with a dependant child or children
- Must have AODA and/or mental health issues
- Must pay 30% of adjusted gross monthly income
- A felony criminal history will prevent your entrance into the TLC program
- Recent and excessive evictions and/or property damage history will prevent your entrance into the TLC program.
Program Requirements
- Residents are required to sign an agreement to participate in the program and follow the rules and regulations
- Participant must actively be involved in AODA treatment and/or mental health therapy
- Participant must attend group and one-on-one sessions with therapist and case managers
- Participant must attend all required meetings
- Participant must have a strong desire to accomplish goals
- Participant must maintain a clean, safe and healthy environment

Q. Is there a waiting list?
A. Yes, when all apartments/housing units are occupied, the eligible participant will be placed on a waiting list. As housing units become available, we will fill them as quickly as possible.
Q. How long can I stay in the program?
A. The length of stay varies from 12 to 24 months depending on each family’s individual need for service.
Q. How can I apply to the TLC program?
A. Residents are accepted by referrals; they will be interviewed and assessed for behavioral services and AODA issues.
