Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) - en Español
The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program is designed as one strategy of community-wide efforts to move area residents out of poverty. VITA sites are located throughout Milwaukee County to prepare low-income residents' taxes and file them electronically for free.

Four "Super Sites" were created as one-stop centers in targeted locations. The Super Sites address the challenges of local poverty in new and fresh ways. One of the Super Sites is a mobile site that changes locations in order to maximize the accessibility of services, resources and information.

At the Super Sites, the city of Milwaukee Health Department identifies eligible individuals and families who are without health insurance, assess and qualify their needs and assist in the completion of the application process. Financial institutions are on site to give taxpayers the opportunity to open bank accounts and provide information about homeownership and other asset building opportunities. Financial literacy workshops are also held. Download our current flyer for more information.
