Program Description
The Healthy Relationships & Marriage Enhancement Program provides relationship education for single individuals as well as unmarried and married couples. The class sessions are presented in a fun, interactive format that fosters group discussions and activities, and promotes shared learning.

Program Information
The Healthy Relationship classes are designed and tailored for both men and women. The focus of these classes is on building healthier and stronger relationships.

• Anyone you interact with!

Who attends Healthy Relationship Class Sessions?
Adult men, women, singles, unmarried couples, and married couples are invited to attend class sessions. A variety of class sessions are offered: co-ed individuals, couples (may be married or unmarried), men-only, and women-only.
Many participants take a full series of classes, but individuals are free to participate in the number of class sessions that suit them.
Co-ed Individuals. Co-ed classes are open to all eligible adults, regardless of gender or relationship status. Attend alone or with your partner, your friends, and your family members.
Couples. Couples classes are open to both unmarried and married couples who meet eligibility guidelines. Learn about yourself and each other, and learn skills to strengthen your bond. Plan to attend with your partner.
Men-Only & Women-Only. Gender-specific classes are open to eligible individuals who are single and those who are in relationships. Universal relationship issues are discussed, as well as common concerns that relate specifically to men or to women.

Past Class Sessions
Couples. Couples are encouraged to participate in a series of classes that build upon each other. Class session begins by looking at each partner as an individual, and then expands to include ways of strengthening and growing the couple relationship. Past participants began with the Harvest of Love classes, followed by Snuggle to the Rhythm of Your Hearts, and concluding with the
Love and Learn Retreat.
Men-Only. Currently there are two classes in the men-only classes, known as the Boyz 2 Men series. Men may participate exclusively in Milwaukee-area classes, or may be invited to attend a rustic men’s retreat.
Women-Only. Currently there are two classes in the women-only classes. Past classes have included All the Single Ladies, Women to Women, Sister to Sister, and Handbook to the Heart. Women may participate exclusively in Milwaukee area classes or may be invited to complete the series at a Girls Night Out women’s retreat.

Who is Eligible?
The class is for adult (18 years or older) women and men. In addition, participants must meet one of the four eligibility standards:
1. Be a current Head Start parent
2. Be pregnant or have a child aged 0 to 5 years old, or in a romantic relationship with a person who is pregnant or has a child 0 to 5.
3. Meet the Federal income eligibility standards listed below. Household must make 130% of the poverty guideline or less per year, based on the number of people in the household. (See chart below)
4. Attend the class with a person that meets one of the eligibility requirements listed above.

Location, Hours, & Contact Information
Times and locations of classes vary by the needs of the participants and the availability of facilitators. Classes may be held during the week or on weekends, and during the day or in the evening. To schedule a class for your organization or to attend a pre-scheduled class, please contact:
