Program Description
The financial literacy component of the education and training department includes two programs to improve the general financial knowledge of our clients.

Get Checking - 2007 Schedule
The Get Checking program offers clients who have had a negative track record with a financial institution a second chance to obtain a checking account. Financial representatives from sponsor banks attend each class and have informal discussions with our clients, in an attempt to alleviate stress which may be present at a financial institution.   This course in nationally recognized and sponsored by Check System.

Money Smart Training - Money Smart Wisconsin October 7 - 13, 2007       Presentaciones en Español
The Money Smart curriculum was developed by Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) as a multifaceted approach to improve the financial literacy of our clients.  The course is comprised of several modules which when placed together give a holistic approach to improving the financial wellbeing of its participants.  These modules consist of Bank on It, Borrowing Basics, Check it Out, Money Matters, Pay Yourself First, Keep it Safe, To Your Credit, Charge It Right, Loan to Own and Your Own Home.
