Financial Literacy is part of other SDC programs, including Energy Assistance, W-2 and Education & Training, empowering individuals to take charge of their finances. For persons with a damaged credit history the Get Checking Program is offered regularly and provides opportunity to re-establish credit accounts and begin to repair credit.

SDC is a member of the My Money Help Line Coalition which sponsors a toll-free hotline for people with questions about finances or who are seeking to be connected with free or low-cost professional resources in the Milwaukee area.  The hotline can connect residents who need help in the areas of credit, foreclosure, starting a business or buying a home.
