Learn more about BEST
The Boosting Employability Soft Skills Training or BEST Program is designed to instill and incorporate basic soft skills into an individual’s work ethic, as it relates to employees’ work habits, pride of performance, and attitude, better preparing the participants for full-time employment. Referrals are received through W-2 or subcontracted agencies. There are 15 modules within the Career Soft Skills Essentials curriculum; each addressing specific soft skills. Our Program Assistants are introduced to and required to participate in the Soft Skills Training which was specifically designed with the employee’s success in mind. Other goals of the BEST Program and the Work Experience Program are to provide work experience and training opportunities to individuals who are participating in W-2 Programs. Through the Work Experience Program, participants are given an opportunity to enhance their work skills and ultimately become self-sufficient through full-time employment. The Work Experience program is designed and intended to accomplish the following: • Develop and practice basic work habits. • Update and master previously acquired skills. • Establish a work history. • Obtain experience in a different field of employment.
