The Social Development Commission has been awarded a $3 million grant to reduce Lead Hazards in the City of Milwaukee. The Lead Hazard Reduction Assistance Program will be part of the Residential Services Division. Over the 36-month grant period, the SDC-LHRA program seeks to create 221 lead-safe housing units. SDC is committed to working with local contractors to perform Lead Abatement / Renovation Activities. SDC-LHRA Program in conjunction with the Multiculteral Entrepreneurial Institute will be hosting a Contractor Orientation on Wednesday, August 22nd & Thursday, August 30th.
