The role of the Board is to provide guidance and leadership to the agency.

The Board must be tripartite, which means that at least one-third of its
members must be from the low income community, exactly
one-third must be public officials
and up to one-third may be from the private sector.

John Grisson supervises the agency's internal audit program and budget monitoring procedures. He comes to SDC with more than 25 years of auditing experience. He is a Certified Internal Auditor and is a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors, and has formerly served on their board of governors. Mr. Grisson holds a B.S. in accounting from Tennessee State University and an MBA from Cardinal Stritch University.
