Recently Walnut Way Conservation Corp. announced a new and innovative partnership with Outpost Natural Foods to help residents of Lindsay Heights achieve a healthier life through improved nutrition options. This program allows members of the community to donate Outpost Coop memberships ($25 annually) to Lindsay Heights families that have restricted incomes. Outpost memberships enable families to gain access to healthy, wholesome foods at owner-only prices as well as access to wellness education.
This partnership will go a great way to addressing the issue of food deserts in the inner-city. Walnut Way hopes to nurture this partnership in the future in order to build greater access to healthy foods in Lindsay Heights.
