Corporate Social Responsibility in Action

At SDC’s 2011 Symposium, we heard from a number of Milwaukeeans that are redefining corporate social responsibility. A project led by one of those Milwaukeeans, Juli Kaufmann, was discussed on the opinion page of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel last week. The piece provides an interesting read and the project really makes you think about the possibilities of what corporate social responsibility can mean—and the positive impact businesses can have on our communities.

Thanks for the post Dave. What is missed in this editorial is the reality that social change and positive economic impact at this scale really takes more than a couple people, it takes a village working together. That is the story we need to share.
